SecureWAN Retail is a resilient network solution providing secure connectivity into retail locations across the UK.

Delivered using a private broadband network with integrated 3G data backup, retail organisations can communicate with their sites allowing remote management of equipment and secure transmission of credit card authorisation and sales transaction data.

Private Network with 3G Backup

SecureWAN Retail is provided using a managed Cisco Integrated Services router with ADSL and 3G connectivity. The primary link is a SecureWAN ADSL connection delivered directly into the private network offering speeds of up to 20Mb download and 1Mb upload. In the event of an ADSL failure, an automated failover routine will provide an internet only backup using an integrated 3G SIM card capable of operating at GPRS, 3G, or HSDPA speeds depending on network coverage. This wireless connectivity will allow the site to continue operating essential services such as credit card transactions until full connectivity is restored.

As an integrated SecureWAN service, the customer will also benefit from a single point of contact for all provisioning and support related issues. The data network is proactively supported with real-time monitoring and a 7 day a week technical helpdesk. Customers will also have access to a web portal to view live network statistics and availability of their sites. Waveworks operate under strict SLA targets for both delivery of services and network support including next business day replacement on hardware failure.
