SecureWAN Remote Access allows business to provide remote access to roaming workers or satellite offices in a secure controlled manner through a centrally managed platform.

The service is designed around three fundamental requirements; security, connectivity, and mobility.

For roaming workers, the service is provided using a software based client which is installed on the individual’s computer. A pre-defined policy is applied to the client which is centrally controlled allowing companies to restrict access at the core rather than having to change individual user settings.

Authentication can be controlled using a number of methods including a local username/password, LDAP directory, or integration to an Active Directory domain. SecureWAN Remote Access also supports dual layer authentication using dynamic key tokens if organisations require an extra layer of protection.

The nature of remote working is not always mobile. Many organisations operate from managed office space or fixed locations from which they have no core network connectivity of their own. In these circumstances Waveworks can provide a managed VPN termination device that will establish a secure encrypted tunnel back into the corporate network. This service can be provided in any fixed location that has an internet connection and static IP.

Waveworks also provide users with a single point of contact for all provisioning and support related issues.
