65 Site Network Delivered in Two Weeks

Waveworks are pleased to announce the successful deployment of a new 65 site managed network for a charity based in the north west of England.

The design, proposal, and subsequent delivery of the solution was completed in an impressive two week window ensuring the customer was able to avoid costly penalties in their previous supplier contract. By working in close partnership with BT and the customer's IT team, Waveworks used their SecureWAN IP VPN network as a foundation which connected the 65 remote sites with the HQ and 3rd party data centre location. In addition to the wide area connectivity, managed firewalls based on Cisco's ASA platform were provided along with a comprehensive web filtering service that controls and protects Internet traffic from malicious content and viruses using cloud based technology for over 2000 PC's.

Managing a team of engineers to visit 65 sites in less than a week was an achievement in itself and one I must admit didn't think was possible. Thankfully it was and we even managed to hit our target two days ahead of schedule".

Waveworks are now continuing to work with the customer to help support and develop their network strategy to cope with future services and demand as part of their business development.
